When we were approached by this client, they expressed their frustration with a shallow sunroom extension that lacked the space for a dining table. With changing family needs and a love for cooking, they wanted to create a more functional kitchen and dining area.

We collaborated closely with them to design a bright, airy conservatory-style extension that connected seamlessly to their garden. After demolishing the old structure, we built a larger space featuring a flat roof with two expansive roof lights and large windows, flooding the area with natural light.

To optimise functionality, we designed an extensive range of kitchen units and appliances around a high seating area, allowing guests to engage with the cook without disruption. The striking contrast of glossy tiles and white walls against matte azure blue units created a relaxing ambiance. We also installed standard double doors, smoothly linking the new extension to the existing dining room for effortless flow.

It’s taken us a while to get round to writing this review (we’ve now lived in our renovated kitchen-diner space for 18 months!) but we’re as happy now as we were when it was originally completed. From the initial consultation with Daniel we knew we were in safe hands. The work was completed in a timely fashion and we were kept well updated by Richard, our project manager who was always available to answer questions and offer advice. Every member of the team was lovely and work was completed to a really high standard. We’ve been chuffed with the outcome, and would absolutely use DK Building again in the future. If you are looking for cheap, cowboy builders, these are not the right people for you.
If you want your building project to be done right first time, to a high standard and with great after service - then I can highy recommend DK Building. Having undertaken several jobs for our lettings company, we would highly recommend them.
