We at DK Building understand that the kitchen is a special place for our clients. It is the heart of the home, the place where family and friends congregate, where memories are made. Every kitchen project we have undertaken in the Liverpool area has a story behind it. Read More...
Our initial meetings with a client will establish and clarify their goals and desires, and a design consultation will be a step towards achieving this dream. With your ideas and our technical guidance and suggestions we can design it, plan it and build your perfect kitchen.
The client loved her large detached house set in a quiet secluded plot outside Liverpool, but always felt the kitchen was too small for the size of the house and the sitting room was larger than needed. Following lengthy discussions, the wall between the kitchen and sitting room was demolished and a new partition erected to create an extensive kitchen and dining area across the width of the house, and a comfortable square sitting room.Read More...
The new room was cleverly designed so that all the outside walls around the windows and new patio doors were kept clear, making the whole room beautifully light and fresh. A new boiler and radiators were installed and a range of high units, worktops and appliances were fitted in the kitchen and utility area. The whole room is cleverly lit by ceiling spotlights and strategically placed downlighting.
Eventually the client had the beautiful functional family home she had dreamed of.
DK Building added value:
Members of the family continued to live upstairs during this major remodelling project. DK Building created a small kitchen area for food preparation and were particularly careful to keep dust and dirt to a minimum.
Daniel sourced a specific large light beige limestone floor tile from abroad which was laid throughout the ground floor. The stone was also cut to create a 6” skirting.
Our client lived in Liverpool in a small terraced house with the kitchen in an extension at the rear of the property. The lady was used to “living” in the kitchen and enjoyed cooking with friends, so needed more space. After three years of searching for the right builder, she found Daniel who listened to her ideas. He understood the problems and helped her solve them. A small side extension with large skylights in the roof was planned. There was a major delay when an old stone wall collapsed and plans had to be revised. Finally, the original cramped kitchen space was transformed into a much larger brighter room for dinner parties. A downstairs bathroom was also usefully included in the design, making the whole ground floor area more functional.Read More...
DK Building added value:
During the construction phase, the client was living in the property. DK Building set up a small “camp” kitchen for her to use.
The client was impressed by the pleasant good-humoured way the tradesmen went about their work and left the site clean and tidy every day.
The team dealt with the collapsed wall in a professional and supportive manner, liaising with a local Liverpool based structural engineer and reassuring the client about a positive outcome.
