A garage conversion is a great idea if you need another space in your home. About half the houses in the UK have a garage but only a small number are now used to protect a car and most are used for storage.
DK Building have considerable experience of helping clients to reinvent this wasted space.
A garage conversion simply means it is converted and fitted out to meet your requirements. A typical schedule of works includes a replacement roof and timbers, new concrete floor, wall and ceiling insulation, plasterboards and skimming before being painted. Installing the necessary electrics and plumbing will depend on planned future use. This relatively simple project could make a significant difference to the household. Visit the testimonial page to hear first hand what a client had to say about his garage conversion.
This large old detached garage was demolished and completely rebuilt in line with local conservation guidelines. It now houses smart functional rooms for a charity in Liverpool. For more information, please see our full testimonial video.
If the garage is attached to the house, there may already be a connecting person door between the two, and this would offer an ideal opportunity for a garage conversion. You may wish to knock through and extend your living space (see main photo above), create a new room/s or the garage space could be incorporated into a much larger wraparound extension (as aerial photo).
Whatever your ideas we will do our best to make them a reality. Our architect and interior designer will work with you to make the most of the space available. See Our Process for more information about how this service works.
